Shirley Soforic was my realtor, when I sold my house in Sept 2011. I had two realtors prior to her, and did not have very many showings. Shirley was able to get the ball rolling and we started to have frequent showings. A couple of times , I was ready to call the whole thing off. But with Shirley`s down to earth attitude, and willingness to give of herself I was able to accomplish my goal.
Thank you, Shirley

We began our journey with Shirley less than three (3) months ago. We thought we knew exactly what we wanted but our hearts took us in a different direction. Shirley patiently and kindly guided us through the journey as we looked at homes in Bartholomew, Madison, Johnson, Brown and Shelby County. She would lovingly say “each step brings us closer to a decision–so we will keep searchin!”–and search we did. Communication was excellent as we e-mailed almost daily and we meet weekly to tour properties. She helped us through each aspect of the buying process with ease, offering her expertise and guidance from financing to inspections to what should we offer– giving her opinion on what the home was worth. We would recommend her highly and she will always hold a warm and special place in our hearts. She provided us just what we needed to work through our unique situation. Our new home is the home we plan to retire in as we will live our days close to family and relax with our grandchildren enjoying fishing on the pond and building tree houses.

I am wanting to speak about the high quality the Soforic Group shows during the home search process. I have been very pleased with the results and feel they go way over the extra mile to show a home in its entirety. The reccomendations about each home and their insight truely shows they like what they do and know how to do it.

This past spring we decided to move to the central Indiana area. I contacted Shirley and she was just a pleasure to work with! No matter how many houses I wanted to see or check out, she was there for us. Any questions or concerns we had she the answers to due to her years of experience in the real estate market she was a true asset to us. If I would ever need to sell or buy another home, I would not hesitate to call and work with Shirley again.

A home buying scenario about a young man who bought a home from The Soforic Group:
I SOLD A YOUNG MAN(AND THEY ARE ALL YOUNG TO ME)
A HOME IN MID SUMMER THIS YEAR. WE FREQUENTLY EMAILED EACH OTHER DURING THE BUYING PROCESS:
HIS EMAIL TO ME:
Hi Shirley–thank you for all of the info. I would like to hold off with a decision until Saturday–I am still very torn; mostly emotional kinds of things and the commitment of a house right now…I am just not sure I am up for all for sure. I am sorry to bother with all this, I very much appreciate all your work and help.
MY EMAIL TO HIM:
The easiest decision is “no” I will stay with you until you decide. The other decision is to move to an apartment or single family home to rent, to be closer to your desired situation. In summing up, you are in an apartment where you are uncomfortable. If you move to another apartment, your situation will not change. The same discomforts will be in the new surroundings. Do you want that for another year?
You are putting your life on hold because you fear making a decision. Realize that the most important thing right now is………………………..You will gain a lot from this move. You have to live somewhere. Will the house cost you more money? Can you afford it? Is the move closer to your goals worth the difference. In my own life, I always ask myself one question….WHAT IS THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN? If I can live with the answer, I do it. In your case, what is the worse that can happen.
You are in a huge rut, and need to get out of it someway. You need to stick your foot out there and risk getting your toes chopped off. I speak from experience:O If you wait another year, what will change to make a commitment of a house easier? Alan I am talking to you as if you were one of my own children. I am always ready to give them my “boot” if they need it. Please understand that this is not about a commission in my pocket. If you wait, I will still be around. Regards, Shirley
HIS EMAIL TO ME 7 MONTHS LATER:
Hi Shirley, — I hope all is going well for you. I was going through old emails and I found this one from you. Some of the best advice anyone has ever given me! The house is fantastic. Thanks again for the advice and the “boot” that I needed. It’s funny how something that caused so much anguish at the time can seem so clearly the right thing looking back. It really could not have worked out better.
